I’ve been hired to shoot some video coverage of this year’s Formula D – Long Beach event. It should be pretty cool, I love drifting and it will be a pleasure, considering the last time I shot Formula D was the Chicago event in Aug. 2006. The footage is being used in my friends e-zine, Wrecked. Hopefully I will have the opportunity to work on the next issue’s graphics and page layouts aswell.
I “stumbled” upon this a while back. This is a really great series of cheat sheets designed to help you with remembering all those tags and other web design info that can be hard to recall at times.
This is a great web browser plug-in that I have come across. It works with both Windows Explorer 7 (up to version 3.005) and Firefox 3 (up to version 3.17). The software simply “stumbles” around the internet based upon the categories that you have selected/are interested in. For instance, if graphic design is one of your categories, you can tell stumble upon to stumble only through sites that pertain to graphic design. That can be a really great research tool for someone and I have personally discovered many great resources for photoshop tutorials, stock images and other design related items. You can also stumble through some great videos and photos using it as well. The plug-in keeps track of sites that you like or dislike and in turn, shows you more sites that you give a thumbs up to and keeps a list of them like bookmarks. You can send links to friends and also (once they join) see what sites they’ve been checking out so you can visit them as well as many other great features.

I just created some new deck designs and I hope you like them. I love the idea of printing on a surface like a skateboard deck. It’s been done before but they’re a great item to display your artwork at home or at the office.
I know there are some great companies out there that do skateboard deck printing. I am personally using www.boardpusher.com for mine. I heard about them through my buddy Andy Sapp, who has designed some great boards and used boardpusher.com for his print solution. They use a heat transfer method to get your design on to the board and they look great. Cost is $49.99/board (at the time of this post) before shipping. You also have the option to open you’re own online store through them to sell your board designs to the public. It drops the price down to $44.99/board and allows you to set the mark up. It could be a great way to get you’re name out there. I’ve seen some really great designs through their site, check it out.
